We found Little Jem the Kakapo at Akaroa holiday park sitting on a window sill in the kitchen waiting for us. It is so cute. Barbara came to visit us and Little Jem wanted to go with her to Chorlton, a beautiful area above Little Akaloa bay over the other side of the peninsular.

Hi Cathy!

Thank you so much for reporting in! I’m SO thrilled you found Little Jem, and what an adventure he’s had so far, and clearly continues to have! Can you take a photo of him (if possible) where he is now?
Give him a little pat from me, and thank you again for letting me know!

Hi Sayraphim
We really loved having Little Luke looking out our West Coast window to the wide open spaces but felt that his holiday had to end. So he flew back to Christchurch where he will be giving more good cheer to the redoubtable folks of the beleaguered town.
Thanks, Hamish
